Today, June 5, 2021, the Code of Ethical Conduct of the Olympic Committee of Brazil celebrates its third anniversary. And this is cause for celebration.
I had the privilege and honor of participating in its elaboration and implementation alongside my colleagues Caputo Bastos, Ney Bello, Sami Arap and Bernardino Santi, very important people in this work. One of my greatest honors is to have been the first president of the Olympic Committee of Brazil Ethics Council and to have worked alongside people who are absolutely committed to the cause of improving corporate governance in sport.
For the consolidation of this Code, it is essential to highlight the support we received from the Olympic Committe of Brazil board, which gave us total freedom to work, the Sports Confederations, which accepted it immediately, the Athletes Committee and all employees of the entity.
The introduction of the Olympic Committe of Brazil Code of Ethical Conduct is a watershed in the history of the Olympic Movement in Brazil.
Long live to this important document.
